The 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships - The biggest sailing Event to be held in Perth since the 1987 America's Cup Defence - More than 4,000 official personnel, including 1,400 sailors, and tens of thousands of spectators are expected to visit Western Australia for the two-week Regatta, where World Champions for each of the 10 Olympic sailing events will be determined. Seventy five per cent of all nations to participate at the 2012 London Olympic Games Sailing Competition will be decided at Perth 2011.

My colleague and I stayed at a wonderful bush cottage on the Metricup/Yelverton Road in the Margaret River region.  Set on a native flora farm with huge trees around and natural bushland, this well presented cottage was absolutely terrific!  The owner was so welcoming and we were given huge bunches of native flowers to take home.  Highly recommend it for anyone who really wants to get off the beaten track!
